Shades of Denim..

Sportsgirl denim jeans, Cotton On denim shirt, Vintage Fringe Bag, Sunglasses Equip.

Necklace Diva, Bracelets, Equip.

I decided to mix it up today with some denim on denim and added my leopard print wedge boots for a bit of flair. This was a warm and cosy look for this cool weather but chic and glam too!

Today I wanted to showcase one of my recent sets and talk about what I love about it in terms of fashion. I find it hard to define my style but most of the sets I make are, very selfishly, only things that I personally would wear. What I love about the outfit above is the simplicity. A pair of boyfriend jeans, a cute, slouchy tee and some wedges. It is then the accessories that really make it stand out. This set is in tribute to Rebecca Minkoff, an absolutely amazing designer. I just adore the clutch and the jacket and it takes a very simply ensemble and turns it into something special. You see being fashionable isn't always about being uncomfortable and being unable to breathe properly. Yes, some outfits you wear will be slightly restrictive but it is possible to look chic and fabulous and still be comfy. In fact one of my favourite bloggers Karla Deras (www.karlascloset.com) took a Nike sweatshirt paired it with some white jeans and gorgeous sandals and BAM had a look to die for and was she comfy? I bet she was! I guess what I'm saying is this, fashion and comfort aren't mutually exclusive, they can be married together and form a lasting and fabulous union. So, ladies and gents, there really is no excuse for not looking gorgeous at all times!

My Current Obsessions..

Here is a quick collage of the things on my lust have list, I am sure you all have one, that little list in your mind of things you drool over. Now of course if I had to add every drool worthy item on my list I would run out of collage space so I have only added the things taking centre stage in my mind.
From the top:
For some reason khaki pants are featuring heavily in all my fantasies, I think it stems from seeing my favourite blogger wearing some with some killer sandals that's done it for me.
The tiny bird vases I am lucky enough to own, though I still look at them constantly because I love them so much!
Zara sandals.. For some reason I have become entranced with blocky, strappy shoes that you can throw on with (you guessed it) some khaki pants or even some boyfriend jeans. What I adore about these two pairs of shoes is that they are low enough to wear around town without being looked at strangely (I live in a casual, beachside town) but they give you some height, which is what all us gals love.
The 'muscle' tee - comfy, stylish and oh so on trend, I am loving the colour of this 3.1 Phillip Lim number and even though it is Winter right now I am determined to find a good replica by Summer time.
Finally those super stunning chartreuse Christian Louboutins.. The colour of those babies is magnificent and a colour I love so much I'm considering naming my first born after it. Not only is the colour pure perfection, the shoe itself is a miracle, so beautiful it makes my stomach smile.
There you have it, the things taunting me with their beauty and keeping me up at night!

Ode to Accessories..

I am about to bastardise the divine Ms. Jane Austen and I hope you will forgive me but it is a truth universally acknowledged that a woman in possession of any fortune whatsoever, must love to shop. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, those few women who do not like shopping and take no comfort in spending a couple of hours at the mall.. I am not one of them. There is nothing like the heady rush you feel when finding an amazing bargain; spotting the perfect pair of shoes, fabulous bag or gorgeous bangles, earrings or necklaces. Since I don't have the budget of Paris Hilton I do pride myself on finding good buys, the trick - buy things that look expensive but aren't.. Easier said than done I know but it is possible. Here are a few examples of my current obsessions!
Comfy and fabulous, best of all bought with a Christmas voucher and best of all they look like Christian Louboutins without the price tag!
My latest purchase making me smile.. Bought number 535 May in May and best of all it was bought with another gift card.
Multi coloured strappy flats were a gift from my gorgeous partner, tan platforms and pumps with orange bows from Dorothy Perkins (God I love internet shopping) and those leopard print beauties were bought last season and are still divine!
Yep I am a sunglasses fanatic, all cheap and cheerful (which suits me fine because I can have heaps of them)
Rings, always loved them and always will.. Check out the faux Yves Saint Laurent adorning my first finger, picked it up for $15 from Diva!
Adore my watch, gold and silver accents with enough bling to make PDiddy proud. The beautiful flower ring was R20 from Mr. Price...
Nothing fake about this baby.. My 30th birthday pressie from my BFF Tegan, a stunning and classic Michael Kors wallet.

Fashion is a fickle mistress at the best of times but some amazing accessories will stand you in good stead for seasons and best of all you don't have to break the bank in order to acquire them!
